Wow! Can't believe my last post was somewhere in September'13, more than a year that is. Its unbelievable so much can change in an entire year.
First of all, Exams!! The most dreaded event of my life (of everyone's life i suppose) are approaching. I have hardly 5 months to prepare and the tension itself gives me nightmares. And above that working and weddings and parties!! Argh. Life can be painful at times.
So, I turned 22 this year (Still a kid at looks and heart :P). It's already December now, 2015 in another 29 days. How can time pass by so fast? Months passed and days just passed and i lied and sat staring at my phone, surfing bull shit over net and spending most of my time reading quora (yep proudly an addict :D). In short, I have done nothing productive all these months, except for going to some classes, working at office, watching TV, hanging out, watching movies etc etc. And now that I realise I have wasted an entire year (well, most of it) doing this random nonsense, I decided why not just right it down for my own sake. I know I am a genius B)
I cannot not complain how bad 2014 was for me. Its not that i fell sick or poor, or I failed in something big in my life (I might have, if I tried) but I just feel 2014 was not good enough to me. Wrong decisions which i regret taking, Careless spending over stuff I didn't need and not saving at all and what not.
Hence, to compensate for those mistakes I have this list on my mind which I NEED to follow religiously for this December so that 2014 ends a bit well. I have made it keeping in mind my exams mostly, the little time that i have to prepare and various stuff for using time productively. These might work for you as well
1. No to unnecessary hangouts and weddings. Not unless I am meeting them after ages and its very important. I have to study so much that going around the city meeting people randomly should be the last thing I wanna do.
2. Do not believe people who spread negativity. It will only stress your mind and make you overthink. Infact its better to ignore such people rather than encouraging them. Don't like them, ignore them.
3. Avoid lot of TV, socialising and surfing. The most demanding part of doing something productive. "OMG! Look where they went. What an amazing place. We should definitely go there." is my reaction to my bestie after seeing all my "facebook" friends enjoying their life travelling, going to concerts, exploring new restaurants and what not. Well, not the right time girl! Maybe when i clear my exams. (Cant wait though)
4. Moreover following #1 and #3 leads to saving money which you can spend on shopping after exams :D or buy something worthwhile whenever required.
5. Prioritize matters according to your goals and ambitions, in order to spend time in things which require immediate action.
6. Last but not the least, keep reminding yourself that you deserve nothing but the best. And the best requires working hard.
Managing time is very important. There's so less time and so much to do. Do not do things which you might regret later. Think twice before you act.
Let me know if you have any other suggestions.
